Mind ‘N’ Health Foundation was born from a collective aspiration to address the growing challenges in mental health with proactive solutions and passionate advocacy. Founded in February 2020, our foundation has grown into a beacon of hope and innovation in the field of mental health.

Meet The Team

 The Board

Pascal Landindome Navelle, FRSPH, is a distinguished public health expert and Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health, UK. He’s renowned for his contributions to public health research and work with the National Institute for Health and Care Research, UK. His work is focused on well-being research, improvement, and mental health advocacy in Ghana, the United Kingdom, and Bangladesh. As founder of Mind ‘N’ Health, he champions mental well-being through research, policy, and advocacy. He was awarded Most Outstanding Youth in Academia in 2023 by the Ghana Youth Awards. Pascal’s consulting and leadership roles showcase his commitment to global mental health and public health excellence.
Miss Ofori is a Deputy Director and Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation & Research Unit at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital (CCTH), an agency of the Ghana Ministry of Health. She is a Commonwealth Scholar, with Master of Arts Certificate in Health Policy, Planning and Management, from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. Additionally, she obtained a Certificate in Health in Humanitarian Crisis – Disaster Preparedness and Management from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, United Kingdom, as well as a Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation in Global Health from University of Washington. Miss Ofori is a Fellow of the Dr Lee Jong-Wook Fellowship Program in Health Financing and Economics, from the Seoul National University, South Korea, which she obtained under the sponsorship of the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH).
Princess has technical expertise and practical experience in Leadership and Management, Health Systems Development and Strengthening, Policy, Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research. She actively serves on key institutional and national technical working committees, such as the Ghana Health Sector Performance Holistic Assessment Technical Committee, National Health Research Policy Technical Committee, CCTH Research Ethical Review Board and CCTH Planning and Budget Committees. She also participates in numerous institutional and national high-level stakeholders’ meetings, and conferences. Her technical contributions to various committee work have direct policy relevance by informing and influencing policy- and decision-making towards health systems strengthening and towards the improvement of health outcomes in Ghana.
Princess is known for her results-driven approach, resilience, hardwork, collaborative spirit, and mentorship, with a strong passion to make impactful contributions across board to improve population health.

Walter-Rodney is a health research expert focused on safe medicine use. With over a decade of experience, he excels in clinical trial coordination, health consulting, and project management. His background in Applied Biology and clinical trials equips him with skills in public health research, data management, and statistical analysis, ensuring effective project strategies and ethical practice.

Richard has a background in Economics and Finance and works as an academic and consultant in sustainable development. He is particularly keen on the intersection between energy and health and is committed to reducing inequality through research and advocacy. He believes there is no justification for perpetuating any shade of inequality. In Mind ‘N’ Health, Richard advises on research, the business development and finance team because of his experience in developing and funding start-ups in health and other sectors.

Emmanuel is a distinguished academic and policy expert renowned for his contributions to the field of public policy development and implementation. Holding an undergraduate degree from the esteemed University of Hull and a postgraduate degree in Mental Health from Sheffield Hallam University, he has cultivated a diverse skill set through his extensive experience in both the U.K. civil service and the private sector. With a proven track record in policy development and leadership, Emmanuel has spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at addressing critical societal issues. His expertise extends to strategic planning, government lobbying, stakeholder engagement, public speaking, research, management, and project planning. Beyond his policy endeavours, Emmanuel is recognized as an accomplished mental health practitioner and has held management positions at leading U.K. hospitals. He serves as the founder and director of Sizwim Care, a U.K. Care Quality Commission-approved Health care provider, demonstrating his commitment to enhancing healthcare services and advocating for mental health awareness. Emmanuel’s multifaceted background and dedication to excellence position him as a leader in both academia and professional practice, driving positive change and innovation in public policy and healthcare

Maame, a seasoned Health Systems Planner with 13+ years in Ghana’s healthcare, has played pivotal roles in planning, policy, and implementation within the Ghana Health Service. She holds two Master’s Degrees in Public Health and Human Resource Management and a Postgraduate Certificate in Public Health (International). She has expertise in planning, health costing, and strengthening health systems. She is an effective communicator and passionate advocate dedicated to driving impactful change within the health sector.

Patrice, a gynaecologist, holds a Universal Medical Doctorate from Charles University and a Specialist Degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Institute for Care of the Mother and Child, Czech Republic. He works as a specialist in Wexford Hospital in Ireland. With over a decade of experience, he specialises in treating postpartum blues and depression, advocating for maternal mental health, and providing crisis interventions. Dr. Patrice was awarded the Angel among healthcare professionals in the Czech Republic, one of the highest medical awards given to medical professionals in the Czech Republic.

Gilbert, a lecturer at Coventry University, UK, was an Associate Lecturer at the University of Sunderland, London. He co-founded the North Centre for Development Alternatives, focusing on inclusive finance. He served as a Research and Policy Intern at UNECA, contributing to diaspora resource mobilisation in Comoros. With expertise in development finance, he has done various consultancy assignments with the Institute for Policy Alternatives (IPA), Ghana Health Service (GHS), Ghana Statistical Service, Ministry of Health (MoH), the African Union, and other non-governmental organisations in Ghana, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Comoros and Nigeria. Gilbert holds a PhD in development economics.

 The Management Team

Dr. Emmanuel is a young and determined medical doctor. He obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the School of Medicine at the University for Development Studies, Tamale Campus, Ghana. Dr. Emmanuel has a keen interest in research and is a team player. He has several years of professional experience in the field of health. Throughout his many years of training and working in remote communities, he has seen snapshots of the negative impacts of poor mental health practices and care in our rural communities. Practising as a medical doctor further allowed him to interact with people with mental health issues. He is a known mental health advocate in many communities and is passionate about supporting people with mental illness to access their needs.

Vivian is a multi-tasking development practitioner with a background in community nutrition, international health, and public health. She is a Lecturer in the Department of Global and International Health, School of Public Health, University for Development Studies, and has 17 years of experience in teaching, research, and community service. Vivian holds a PhD in Public Health from the University of Ghana, an MSc. in International Health from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, an MSc. in Health Professions Education from the Suez Canal/Maastricht Universities in Egypt and The Netherlands, respectively, and a BSc in Community Nutrition from the University for Development Studies, Tamale, Ghana.

Richard, a lawyer and rural development advocate in Ghana, has over ten years of experience in rural and peri-urban areas. His expertise lies in law, microloans, credit education, skills training, and economic empowerment. He holds LL.B. and Bachelor of Arts degrees and uses the law as a practical, necessary tool for fair and egalitarian development for the good of everyone in society.

Charity, a Human Resources and Finance Professional, holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a Higher National Diploma in Secretarial and Management Studies, with experience at Ghana Christian University College. She is experienced in recruiting, training, planning, monitoring, job design, and organisational performance management. Charity’s effectiveness in her role has contributed significantly to the growth of the organisations she worked for, yielding significant turnover in businesses.

Collins, a mental health nurse at Tamale Regional Hospital, Ghana, holds a diploma in mental health nursing and a bachelor’s in mental health nursing from the University of Ghana. With extensive experience, he advocates for mental health accessibility and conducts and manages health education programmes focusing on substance abuse among youth. Collins administers mental health treatments, facilitates community well-being events, and advocates for mental health rights with creativity. He is a certified mental health counsellor.

Gloria, a nurse specialist in community mental health and rehabilitation, has 19 years of experience. She’s a licensed professional counsellor, MTN Hero of Change 2022 recipient of the Daisy International Award and Community Impact Award 2023. With a Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, a BSc in Nursing, and an MA in Guidance and Counselling, she’s also a member of the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives. Her expertise includes research in mental health, wellness coaching, and cancer screening and treatment.

Prosper, a mental health professional from the University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho, Ghana, is a mental health advocate and practitioner. With diplomas in mental health, human rights & recovery, and community mental health, he excels in counselling, advocacy, and community health programmes. Skilled in health management, research, and risk communication, Prosper drives mental health support and empowerment initiatives, contributing significantly to community well-being.

Samuel is a dynamic Graphic Designer known for his generosity and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. With a passion for sharing knowledge and fostering connections, Samuel naturally builds meaningful relationships.
Fueled by his love for computers, Samuel spends countless hours exploring new digital frontiers, always eager to expand his skill set. His enthusiasm for learning extends to literature, where he finds both enrichment and entertainment.
Armed with a diploma in Graphic design, Samuel has honed his craft in creating captivating visual experiences, from striking logos to innovative designs. Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology at Bluecrest University in Accra, he eagerly anticipates merging his graphic design expertise with cutting-edge technology.
Samuel thrives in diverse design projects as a freelancer, showcasing his creativity and adaptability. With a friendly demeanour and insatiable curiosity, he is poised to leave a lasting impression in graphic design and beyond.
